I miss the black fender flares, really liked them on my 09 and think they would look very nice on my MGM sport.

    Like, so many.
I know some dealers have a less expensive tonneau cover as an option.

Hard trifold tonneau for under $650 MSRP/$579 invoice? Which one are they using?

Wasn't an option in my TRDP - getting a LEER Triology when it comes in.

Yeah, it was less than that. Not a lot less I guess. I don't remember the brand, but they definitely had it as an option. It had a built in LED light.

How did you add the tilt sensor? Did you purchase an aftermarket alarm? Or can you add tilt to the factory alarm?

I took it to an alarm shop that added it to the stock alarm. Cost was about $100.00. I forgot once when I tried to rotate my tires and jacked it up and the alarm went off, LOL

I have disconnected the battery 2 times.. to install fog lights and to remove steering wheel air bag to install leather sew cover and cruise control..

Now that you ask, I haven't payed too much attention but I think I don't have any light under the radio.. only the passenger airbag or seatbelt indicator..

I don't think I have any security system.. I have my regular key to "old style" open my doors..

I'll look tomorrow.. but I don't have any buttons on my key like sr5.. if I do have something, is passive alarm.. I'm almost sure that I don't have any but I'll look..

Guess your not a fan of the Sport? I have yet to rip off the "stupid plastic piece" and have slammed into a few snow banks this past winter.

Oh and scoop is for the smile factor.

That's good to know. I have a friend that works for MCA so I can ask him also. Pretty small world huh!

And thanks everyone else for your responses and thoughts. I am still debating whether to buy a new 2017, and low mileage 2016 or wait until the 2018 comes out. The 2016 seems like there were a lot of issues on a first year model, the 2017 seem to have addressed some of them, I am hoping the 2018 will have most of the bugs addressed. I have had a few first year Toyota models and have never had as much 1st year issues as this Tacoma has had. That's why we buy Toyotas, for their reliability!

Thanks Guys for all your thoughts. I saw a deal on craigslist for a 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport in MGM with the Safety Package and factory tonneau cover that I couldnt pass up. It was in excellent condition and happy with the purchase. The Recall wasnt done yet so I have an appointment to have that and the trans TSB done. Mahalo!

I have this sticker on my front doors. Is this standard on the Sport or did the previous owner have the VIP RS 3200 plus installed? Just wondering how i could tell. I dont have a extra security LED since the truck has the one under the headunit.

Howzit @zoom2022 ! Congrats on your Tacoma Purchase ! I don't have that sticker on mine.
And if I may ask , what kind of recall appointment do you have? The CPS sensor and the rear diff isn't ready yet. Make sure your rear diff is bone dry or they will hold it hostage and give you a loaner. I was at Servco the other day and saw this :
    IMG_2478.jpg
Service guy said there all waiting for rear diff parts. Be careful bro
    Aloha

Oh Shucks! Thanks for letting me know. I wouldnt want my truck being held hostage. My appointment is for the Rear Diff, I dont have the recall for the CPS. Mine does have some seepage that I can see, so I may be better off waiting until they have the solution then. Otherwise I will need a loaner. Your a lifesaver! Did they say how long before they get the parts in? I wanted to have the trans shifting addressed but will wait if I need to....

And that is probably only the trucks they had room to store on their lot!

I made my appointment for July 5th for my next service as the recall notice should be out this month . My diff is dry but to be safe I requested a loaner. The service guy said even the dry diffs will be pulled apart for inspection. Imagine all those poor people held hostage going to get 1st dibs so I'd imagine they'll be crazy busy once the letter goes out.
Also have them check your transmission fluid mine was low by a quart when they flashed my Tsb.
