It doesn't come on when your dash lights are on? What is the blue wire of the switch connected to?

You need to take both the switch switch light and ground from one of the dimmable circuits. In your case Green goes to a ignition switched power source. Red1 to the relay. Red2 taps to a green wire from one of the current factory wires (example vsc wire) and black goes to the green and stripe wire of the same source (ex VSC). If you do it this way the bottom will have light when the lights are on and can be dimmed. The power to the switch will be on when the ignition is on, when you press the switch it will send power to the relay and light up the top.

Red1 is the only one that really needs to go through firewall to the relay. The others can come from dash power as explained.

Sorry I looked at the diagram and not your photo. Red to ignition power, green to relay. Blue and black to the dimming loop.

Basically the top 2 wires take a turn on signal to the relay. The bottom 2 are just a lighting loop for the lower led. If you chassis ground the black you won't be able to dim the switch.
