+1 reason for getting a dash cam. It would of recorded the nose of the truck dropping as the wheel came off.

Buddy of mine had one come off in a Dakota when he was moving out west, but he had enough weight in the back end, that he didn't notice the front right wheel come off until he went to stop. He never found the wheel.

Although everyone is out to lynch the wheel manufacturer, wheel breakage in a rollover accident like that is common. Something as minor as sliding sideways into a curb, without a rollover, can break a wheel. I'm not saying that the OP is wrong, but it's possible he's mistaken. If it is possible to do an accident reconstruction, it's very likely that critical evidence is already lost. Location of broken wheel pieces, location of tire, marks on the pavement, skid marks, foreign objects in the road, etc. If there were no missing pieces to the wheel, it might be possible to see if the wheel was bent before it broke. Unfortunately, there are a lot of pieces missing. BTW, firefighters are not experts in accident reconstruction, so don't take any of their, "looks like ____________ caused the accident", as valuable information. Sorry to hear about your truck. Glad you are OK. Glad you weren't ejected and rolled over by the truck. It does happen.

I see your point. I did go back to the scene the next day with my family just to verify there were no marks in the grass on my side of the road nor did I hit the rail on my side that might have indicated that I ran off the road... Also I verified with a witness that I came across the median perpendicular. The median is a raised area of grass with a concrete curb but I didn't spin far enough to hit the curb with the right front wheel. Also I have a burn on my wrist that finally clicked and told me it was a burn from my wrist resting on the steering wheel and it jerking to the left so fast creating the burn mark.

If anyone has any advice or input as to what you think I should do from here please feel free to chime in.

A little while back, I was looking at a Foose wheel and on the backside, cast right into it, it said, "Made in China". I was shocked.

It would with just one wheel/tire, there would be traction on the left and none on the right; with that caster would fling the wheel with traction toward the outside (left)--violently as the OP reported. An indication to me that the wheel failed...

make sure a qualified mechanic checks the wheel bearings to fight the statement from the rookie cop.
