I love the Discoverer tires can decide on the size though. My two front tires are currently bigger than the rear tires.
    265/75/16 front
    265/70/16 rear
Wheels are definitely on my list to get so I want to invest in some all terrain tires that are nice and bulky.
I definitely don't want to be fiddling with the diff locker so I will pass on this too.

Is this Hayden Tranny cooler easy to install?
    http://amzn.to/2pmh0FJ

Any tips to get the old smell out of my truck? My 98 Camry never smelled like my Tacoma does. Would a deep cleaning of the seats/carpet do the trick? If it weren't for the smell, I would dip around in it more often bc I wouldn't smell after getting out.

The Hayden Trans cooler is very easy to install- Just follow the instructions that come with the kit.

Finally decided to install the Hayden tranny cooler but I wanted to know which of the two lines coming from the tranny (top or bottom) goes to the driver side and which goes to the passenger side of the cooler? Will post a picture tomorrow just in case I wasn't being clear enough.

^^Installed cooler sideways (hose to the left side) because there was no clearance for the hoses to go through the bottom.

^Which hose goes to what side?

    Thanks

at least for the V6 the line going into the passenger side of the lower radiator is the "out" from the trans.

take the line from the driver's side of the lower radiator and run new line to the cooler. then run a line and connect it to the hose you removed originally.

if you want to eliminate the radiator completely then use the same guidelines but purchase new line in long lengths (may have to measure) to reduce chances of leaks in connectors

    Too many to list
Cover the floor with baking soda and let sit for a day or two. Then vacuum it up and scrub the hell out of it.if that don't work there's a new bug bomb style air freshener in parts store. Think turtle wax makes it.

Would eliminating the radiator cause any future issues? I don't mind getting some extra 3/8" ID hose.

"mostly around town with a little off-roading"

    ok then...

Unless you want to take this thing to full on long-travel desert race truck status, ditch the locker and the lift "kit". For sure throw on a set of 5100's as DustStorm suggested, add some 265/75's, but don't expect much off-road capability (unless, like I said, you go full on long travel). They're cool when it's a factory installed TRD e-locker, but I just don't think I'd bother putting an aftermarket one on, just for "occasional offroading." IMO, a locker on a 2wd is really just a "donut maker"... lol

If... down the the road you find your self wanting one after getting stuck (or nearly stuck) on some forest roads, then ignore me and consider a locker, or, better yet, a T-case and front diff... ;)

If you end up with bigger tires, please, for the love of god regear it. A 3.4L can handle a little extra tire, but the 4cyls suffer, *especially* when towing a 2500 pound boat.

As a side note, I tow a ~2500# camper trailer with my v6 doublecab, and I'm running 45mph up some hills, I can't imagine doing that with a 4 banger... You might need to get out and help push if you tow that boat up any hills: It's a doublecab, so I'm guessing it's an auto, so definitely a trany cooler. I got mine for like $50. Easy install.

Just. Go with what u got put the tires on. U would be surprised what it will go. Through. As the locker don't do it unless if. You go to long offroad trips. But I run arb in front n rear on my truck. Just do what you find you need.

I can't get a picture to post but my 99 taco is matte black and the only difference is the texture of the paint seems to hold dirt so it may get dirty faster but the cleaning is the same. (New member)
