Hey TW. Looking for a recommendation for a trail run tomorrow. A friend and I both have the kids tomorrow, and are looking to take them on a wheeling trip. Would be nice is there was a creek or other water feature for the kids. Ages range from 18 months to 8yrs, with most of the kids under 5. Don't mind driving an hour or so to get to a spot. Leaving from yorba Linda. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Have you ever been to Holy Jim?

This is a good starting point

31651 Trabuco Creek Rd, Silverado, CA 92676

Really easy trail if you stick to the main road, you can go off to the right side for a little more fun. You won't see much water but there will be some.

There are actually trout in the creek this year you can catch. They planted some a few weeks ago. Not sure if there are many left though.

Fixed the title. Was up late last night.

I've been to Holy Jim, great recommendation, but I was looking to take him a little farther out. Thinking going up to Lytle Creek.

I've never been but plan to go soon. It's called Devil's Hole up near Arrowhead. Heard you can splash around in a pool of water. It's off the Willow Creek trail in Arrowhead.

Had a great time today. Mid to upper 50s, clear roads, and good times. Thanks for the recommendations. Lots of road closures up in Lytle Creek assuming due to the fire, but we found some open ones.

I haven't been there for a few weeks but last time there I caught a couple. They stock them from the first gate in.

I used to ditch school back in high school and head up there for the day. Caught lots of trout out of that stream. The old stream crossings where the water would pool up was always great to fish. The stocking truck would always dump them right there because they were lazy. I've caught trout as far down as the little RC airplane field. Those you have to work for.
