Colour-matched rear bumper on TRD silver sky off road?

I realize my 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road has a colour matched rear bumper from the factory, not Chrome. I do not have the tech package, back-up monitors, or reverse radar. Just a normal TRD Off Road double cab, no additional option.

I prefer the painted bumper to the chrome but wonder why the truck is the way it is. Is this normal for the 2017 TRD OR, something specific to the Silver, or something only on Canadian models?

Mine came with chrome bumpers, base TRD OR, no packages. Wish they were color matched. Resorted to Plasti dip so they look black for now. One day I'll either paint or replace the bumper.

 

The reflection makes it look a slightly different shade of silver in this picture, but it is the same colour.

 

Looks like you lucked out! The TRD's should all come with color matched bumpers instead of chrome. I'm mean, who likes chrome over body color?!?
I replaced mine with the black SR bumper ends, but will eventually put a "real" bumper on it

 

Base TRD Off-road without premium/tech package comes with chrome bumpers. Premium/Tech package adds the body color bumpers. So yeah...he got lucky.
