What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I know. I'm just not sure what I want to do. I probably will end out purchasing the OEM Black ones that are unpainted. I'm afraid that if I derp them or use vinyl it will only be a temporary fix. Looking to do a project one time and be done. I almost purchased the RCI rear bumper. Need some time to really think about which route I want to go.

 

browsing the forum one night and saw another member do this, had trouble finding original post, but heres mine.

kept it super simple, bought some outdoor carpet from lowes, cost 11 bucks and two packs of heavy duty velcro 8 bucks

we'll see how well it stays on there, when i was trying to check carpet for placement, velcro would pull off. just heated it for a bit with a blow dryer and left it alone, only time will tell...

added some staples to the velcro on carpet side.



made some slits so seat can lock into place without having to remove carpet, voila!

No doubt! So I watched the #21 Wood Brothers Ford being driven by Ryan Blaney win the Pocono 400 on Fox Sports 1 this afternoon. That also was the Woods Brothers 99th win & Ryan Blaney's 1st Monster Energy Cup race win.

 

I was orginally using a similar style hammock like in your picture. The one I had strapped behind and under the seats. It became a pain in the ass going on/off for passengers and dog, then always having to fold up and stash away. This just seems like an easier alternative. with that $11 I was able to cut out an extra set for back up!

 

Used to go to the races all the time and it definitely would have been a hot one at the track

 

Never been to a race but if I ever win the Illinois lottery I would not mind going to Richmond, Dover, Bristol, Michigan and Kentucky. Only been thru Pennsylvania once and that was when I got out of boot camp & A.I.T. at Ft. Dix, N.J. back in 1979. I remember allot of curves in the road while riding the bus thru there.

 

I used to do Pocono and Dover. Lots of roads based off of trails lol. My neighbor went through Dix in 64 I think. I was a Benning guy myself. GO ARMY!

Fort Sill for boot camp then my 1st part of ait was at Redstone arsenal in Alabama and 2nd part was at Fort Bliss Texas. 14 months of just AIT.

Actually nothing yet. Still thinking about getting 6k hid or some led. I think the angle i took the photo makes it look like i have hid or led. I actually just had my DRL on and fogs on for the shot
