Ultimate Side Mirror build

Posted in 3rd Gen, But thought Lighting section was better suited for my build log.

Here is my Ultimate side mirror project.
The goal was to increase the lighting performance while maintaining a Stealth(ish) look.

Objectives:
-Integrated ditch lights
-Integrated puddle lights
-Increased Turn signal output

Step 1:
Mark a hole somewhere. Anywhere. Then cut it.


Step 2:
and Cut out everything behind the hole


Objective #1 complete.
Rigid Ignite with Flood Lens. Fits like a glove.



Make sure hole from step #1 fits;


How will it look on said Truck?




OBJECTIVE #2; Puddle lights
Cut long skinny hole. Mount LED's(inside waterproof enclosure preferably)


Test turn signal fitment while I'm at it


OBJECTIVE #3 Increase Turn signal output.
Lens tinted, then amber arylic cut to fit



No intensity lost




Finally, finish it off with a tacticool look:


See a little more amber right meow



Wired up and installed:



Turn signal on









New wire through the boot and up the door;



TURN EM ON'

Now I can see the mall curbs at night when I get out so I don't trip



Rigid Mirror light:

LOL I feel like the light thing is getting out of control. Gonna start fitting lights into lights!

I do kind of like the puddle lights would be cool to have them come on when the doors are unlocked with the remote

 

That's a lot of lights! Bad ass. How much does a set of new side mirrors run?

 

Besides the ditch light, you wouldn't be able to tell they are modded. I had the hood brackets + lights but they were just too obtrusive, so this solves that issue.

Wife needs some more light driving home at night

Thinking about adding a 20" radius bar in the lower valance

 

Honestly haven't got around to the Rav... been busy with all other mods.
20 foot light bar might hang out the sides a bit much, ya?

Working on a new set of ultimate mirrors, I got the rigid ditch lights flushed back even further so now it can be a round hole(square didn't look that bad, but the round flows better)
These mirrors will be white; hence the white ditch lights

Dude these are cool. Is it possible for a gen 1 SR5 power mirror ??
