I'm in the process of installing new rims and tires from my factory steels, and learning that the TPMS sensors won't fit due to the different angles. I've seen the strap kits but was wondering if anyone has tried cutting the valve stem off theirs and gluing it to the inside of the rim. I'd like to maintain functionality, but am getting very close to doing the PVC tube trick. The only issue I can think of is breaking loose inside and causing problems that way.

    Anyone consider/successfully do this?

Sell your current TPMS to offset the cost of proper TPMS for your rims.

Probably the wisest decision. I'll look into the cost.
