I have the turn down exhaust. It sounds pretty good.

I'm going to post a video here shortly (tomorrow, hopefully) of the dual exit. Honestly, I do not know if it is a muffler design difference or just the fact that there is more volume of piping the exhaust has to travel through, but mine sounds NOTHING like these turn downs. I know the full lengths aren't for everyone, especially the dual, but it's the best sounding IMO after some break-in. Never sounds "Ricer" or like a "Fart Can"; makes the V-6 sound really decent. If you go WOT, then I'm not really sure. It definitely growls from the cabin but I've never been on the outside of my truck at WOT lol. Ever pass those concrete road divider wall things with your windows down? That's when I can hear it best from the outside, and it STILL sounds awesome. Video coming (Hopefully one that does it justice). Note: not defending it because I own it, they're not for everyone. :crapstorm:

So I've had mine for several months now. Got it from Auto Anything with free shipping and 20% off. Couldn't beat that price. I got the stainless single pipe exhaust. First impression was oh crap what did I do. Now 3 months later I love it. Sounds good, but my dads 2010 with the TRD cat back sounds better. Interstate driving 6th and 5th gear sound good, noticeable but not obnoxious. When it drops to 4th its gets loud but still enjoyable. MPG wise I've noted some improvement with highway driving, I get 22-24. That's driving through WV with hilly terrain. It seems to not drop into 4th as often to get up hills now. City driving no change in MPG. My life time average MPG with the truck is 20.9 with 12k miles. Next step is to get an S&B CAI. Yes i do know CAI are a waste in money because the truck basically has a CAI in it since i pulls fresh air from the fender well. Its my money I'll do with it as a please.

I have thought about it, I bet it sounds awesome. If anyone has, I would love their input as well.

So I promised a video but I have to say... I think the recording sounds like shit. There is just no F'ing way that standing next to the truck sounds like what is heard in the video. I'm not brainwashed.. or placebo'd.. Now I see why people say it doesn't do it justice. IMO, the key "Low tones" that make the exhaust sound "Good" are not picked up in the recording. I did it from cold start, watched it, vomited, tried again, same effect. The "Gurgling" and instant drone in the video IS NOT WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE to your actual ears.. :annoyed: So, with all that being said, anyone have a better way to record exhaust than a Galaxy S7 Phone Camera? Suggestions? The one I shot just isn't even worth posting..:pout:

I agree completely! The videos don't do it justice. I'm getting a ton of compliments from people on the road on the sound.

anyone who tells you the exhaust on these trucks is bareable is lying to you. it drones like a motherfucker and sounds like total shit.

i spent 10 years of 20+ year career at magnaflow and had exhausts on almost every one of the 40 plus cars i’ve owned and this is the only one i’ve ever taken off.

Ok, so some think it sounds like a wet fart & others love it. What about performance? Noticable increase in hp/torque? How about gas mileage? I even saw a review that said it dropped low end torque, but I'm thinking that guy may have been writing his review in the garage with the truck running & the door closed...

I went with the single MBRP cat back system. Silly easy to install. As for the sound, it's not tinny & doesn't have that ricey sound...with that said, running low at any speed can have a drone. If it bothers me, I just shift down to increase rpms. However, when I want to open it up, I think it sounds great & it seems to have evened out the power band a bit, along with the TRD intake. I'm sold.
