I did mine about 16 -17 years ago with a jig saw. Worked great. All the cuts were covered by molding, so perfect straightness was not critical.

Brake controller, Snugtop, Hellwig981, Gentex, custom frame bending and body removal by red light runner.
Suggestion one: Handheld jigsaw worked awesome for me, even though I own miter saw, table saw, circular saws, hand saws....

Suggestion two: Take an axe to all the laminate and go buy real wood or tile. I hate that shit now. Water resistant my ass. Stupid dogs, stupid kids, stupid icemaker, and stupid flooring puckering up my kitchen and foyer after 2 years.
DONT BUY SHAW LAMINATES. Warranty weasels.

I used a miter saw when I put it in the basement of the last house.

That said, I don't think I'd choose to put laminate anywhere I care a lot about. It's perfect in a finished basement, though. The house I have now has Allure flooring in the kitchen/dining room and I think it looks cheap. Some day I'll tear it out and put in real wood or tile. They also didn't pound a few boards together enough so there are seams in a couple places. Can't imagine why they ignored that. Keep meaning to pull the molding off and fix it.
