I want to add steel braided brake lines to my 2016 Limited (stock wheels, no lift). I'm looking to upgrade the brake lines and pads as I will be towing around 3,500 pounds on a regular basis

The local stealership told me that Toyota does not make them for the Tacoma and aftermarket ones are not DOT and will impact future warranty claims.

Now I know that the average dealer (irrespective of brand) isn't the best reference... and know it's all BS.

So, are there any preferred aftermarket steel braided brake line brands that people recommend?

    Much appreciated

Regarding warranty if you add them and a problem pops up with brake system you can bet Toyota will blame the brake lines if even remotely possible to get out of the work. What do you think the brake lines will give you over what the stock warrantied parts are giving You? Do the risks outweigh rewards?

A more appropriate sub forum you might try is here since brake lines are not really 3rd gen specific.

Have them on my bikes and S2000. Feel is nicer for sure and they are easy to install.

There are plenty that are DOT approved.

But yeah watch out. Rear end starts leaking - they'll blame it on the brake lines and you'll be sol.
