Call up your finances and tell them you would like to change your loan period to 7 years instead of 5 (if you haven't already). You can catch up on payments later but at least it would lower your monthly payment requirement.

I'll take those Morimoto's, Clazzio seat covers and possibly your OBA system. Send me a pm if you're serious.

Im surprised we don't hear about this exact scenario more often here on this forum, then again maybe others just don't talk about it. Kudos to the OP. Fiscal responsibility ain't pretty but it's invaluable

Most people have too much pride to publicly admit it. I agree kudos to the op. I always wonder when I see people saying I finally sold this POS etc.

if vehicle was 100% stock, it'd be worth more
than with all the potatoes stuck to it now

cab mount chop ? you mean actual cutting was done ? if so, pass...

Being that upside down with no vested money in it puts you in a tough spot.

Normally I would have pretty good bro financial advice, but I might have to think a while on this one.

If you sold off all your parts you might get 3-4g's, trade in is probably 35, you're still 7-8g's in the hole. I'm assuming your monthly payment are ~$650 a month.

    you truck poor.

wish i could take that fresh regear and unused lockers off you to help with a payment. but wrong size

Carmax will not buy the truck if it has the cab mount chop (unless they do not notice, which is very possible).

Go try to get a quote from carmax or a dealership, then make your decision. You will be underwater, but depending on how badly, it may be worth ditching it.

When I bought my truck, I was looking for used and discovered the few grand difference in the 20145/15's ... I bought new because of it.

OP-- I wish there were some parts that I could take off your hands.

Thanks all for the solid advice. I need a reliable vehicle either way and the finances are not so bad that I have to be out of the truck... I just am at place now with little monthly margin and I don't like it. I still have my Job. I think i'll complete the mods I have (with the exception of the Bilsteins, those are getting sold) and tough it out.

45k Included the $2600 cap and the stupid 7% sales tax in Jersey and dealers fee's, I actually paid right about average for those wondering.

Also my payments are $800 a month at 2% so i'm actually in a decent loan.

Plus the truck is badass. Only problem is TW making me want to do more to it. I won't feel like it is finished until i lift it 1.5 inches, and put on a full fox 2.0 adjustable suspension....

    Thanks all.

Wow, $800 per month for 8 years ... That's $76,800 in total payments!
