From what I was told by Headstrong Offroad they are set stock at 1" lift for 3gen and 2" for 2nd gen. Thanks for replying.

You're right, that's because 3rd gen is "factory lifted".

How much lift did you end up going with? And how many inches of thread is showing on the Fox?

Just did my 2017 the other day with the Fox 2.5 with resi's. Got the front up 2" and am getting that clunk. Used a spring compressor to adjust. Wanna know if lowering it a bit will stop the clunk. Any advice?

So anyone have a estimate on what 2" of threads showing would equal on lift? Thats what I have showing and it seems I might only be at 2" of lift. Just curious as to how many inches others have on the threads showing and what it gave them on lift.

Didn't measure mine after adjustment. Factory thread showing was 1.5 inches and it gave me less than an inch lift (steel skid and sliders). Adjust driver's 4 turns and passenger's 2 turns. That adjustment gave me an inch lift over stock. Thought that I'd like it level....but now I miss the factory rake.

Ok, back in January I went cheap and did a 3" tuff country spacer lift in the front and aal in the rear on my 2016 Tacoma trd off road.... Road like crap, lots of body roll over whoops, clunking shocks that topped out, loose steering, etc...so when I saved enough cash, I replaced the front suspension with fox 2.0 coilovers and matched the back with fox 2.0 shocks. Now instead of having a perfectly level truck, I have too much rake (center hub up to bottom of fender in the front is now 21" and 24" in the rear). So my question is what happened to my front lift, I thought the fox 2.0 coilovers would get me some lift, probably not a full 3", but at least some lift...but at 21" I am back at factory height. I have 2 3/4" thread showing on each front coilover and seem to be getting 0 lift.

I am running Toyo Open Country m/t 285/70r17 tires with zero rubbing (mods were made to gain this clearance).

What is the best route to take to get my truck back close to level? I wouldn't mind some rake, so if I can get front up to 22 or 22 1/2, I would be extremely happy providing I dont lose the ride quality I gained from the fox 2.0's. Can my coilovers be adjusted for more lift? Can/should i add a tiny spacer? Should i remove the rear aal and go back to stock height in the rear? What is my best option?

    Thanks guys for any input!!!

You have plenty of thread left, just crank them up.

Try, if they are not clunking on rebound, you should be fine.

Toe-in should adjust after you have raised it.

At first I got 3 1/4" lift up front and it was very stiff with no rebound. I get the clunk every time I went over speed bumps. I ended up lowering it to 2 1/2" and now it rides much better and happy with the lift.

Do you the 2.0's or the 2.5's? And how much thread to you have showing now?

Copied from another post I just made...

    Heres a cool story bros...

I have the Fox 2.5 w/o RR which I got from headstrong off-road. The top hat was flipped the opposite way as those with the resi. The collars we're cranked to 27 threads showing. IMO that's a lot of preload. I removed the coilovers and flipped the top hat because thats how it's configured with those that have reservoirs anyway. I turned the collar so that only 16 threads we're showing figuring it would reduce the preload. The truck now sits level and rides much better. I may crank them down more because I'd like the front to sit a little bit lower than the rear

I have 2.5 with resi's, I had them cranked down to around 30 threads for a little over 3" lift and it rode horrible. Now I have em at 25 and its a little better.

What this is telling me is stay away from Fox 2.5 coil overs and just go with the Bilstein 6112s and 5160s.

I installed the extended travel 2.5s non resi. Center of hub to bottom of fender flare is roughly 22”. Any tips? I was hoping to be at more like 2.5 inches. But I was reading somewhere that you don’t want to add too much more preload on these.

Ext. travel should come set at max recommended lift, which is 1.925" of exposed threads/ 27 exposed threads / 3" lift.

    *edit*
You have an '18. It should be ~21" factory.
    What was your pre-lift height?
    Are you measuring correctly?
What armor/extra weight do you have?

My extended travels came with 16 threads exposed. 2 inches of lift on a second gen.
