I have a question and I'm hoping you guys can answer it. It has to do with hill start assist. I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is normal or not. My driveway has an incline. When on the incline my truck rolls and the slip indicator icon flashes then a temporary pause then truck continues to roll down while the car in is "drive". If in reverse and facing towards the decline truck rolls forward. I push the breaks before pressing the accelerator to activate the hill start but the truck rolls forward. Please help. Do you guys have this problem as well?

Press brakes firmly to activate. Will give you a half second or so of no movement. Just enough time to move your feet to the proper position.

Is hill start assist an option or standard? Or model specific.

Thanks. I've done that with the breaks. I will try it again. I have an MDX and it does automatically. You would think an off road would work even better.

    Like, so many.
It's normal. I think it's designed that way to help you back off obstacles or reverse down hills.

It's available on both the hydraulic and vacuum brake models.
On the hydraulic equipped models, it is activated on an incline when the brake is released and no throttle. It gradually releases brake pressure over a 5 second period. Slip indicator flashing is normal.
