Too poor to list anything interesting.
Had a good time on this trail.

The weather could have been better. I believe it was in the low 30s and raining the two days we did this. We didn't overnight at the tower. Instead, we went to a nearby park to camp.

    Probably for the better.

Rain would definitely make it more interesting. Slippery I imagine.

Did you guys run this? I'd like to see some pics of the trail. I'm going to be running the full length in May 2017 from Mena to Clayton on my way to Dallas to visit my family.

I've seen all those. There's nothing that's really recent though.

Me and a couple of other rigs from Florida are going to to do the K Trail in May. We are going to try to run the TransAmerica trail from TN and then pick up the K after running High Water Mark through the Ouachita NF.

this sounds like a lot of fun.

No the run hasn't been done yet, kind of waiting till hunting season is over.

I hate to revive this thread, but I'm looking at going back to the Ktrail. Did yall go this may? I was wondering what the trail conditions were like?

K-trail runs through my land. My land is about two miles west of the Indian Highway. I've been down the west section several times on a 4 wheeler. About 11 miles west there is a large rock, McKinley or gray rock, where the trail splits and goes on into Clayton. I have never been further than the rock. First 9 miles going west are not to bad, several large mud holes but not too rough. Last two miles are pretty rough. Going east from Indian Highway is a better trail but not as pretty. One nice camping spot about 6 miles down the road and then again at the fire tower about 12 miles down the trail. Some of the mud holes have alternate routes and the brush is much closer to the trail going east. You will get pinstripes going this way.
