Yep, same one. We really liked it so it will likely be one of our annual trips.

That's what it seems. I started reading his build thread last night... I think he made cuts already for 35's, he installed one of the Marlin Crawlbox's already, too.

It's rated a little low. From what I understand, you want to have a winch rated for at least 2 1/2 times the weight of your truck minimum. So our trucks weigh about 4000 lbs so you want a min winch rated @ 9500 lbs

    Edit; read this

I work for a small town in Wmass. We have a ton of trails and farm fields that follow the length of the CT river that need patrolling periodically. A lot of people from less desirable places come to utilize these areas, but in turn don't respect the areas, or the farmers. They are often unregistered, riding without helmets, destroying crops, leaving trash, riding down public paved roads at high rates of speed. Just being a-holes. It'll end up ruining it for people who are much more respectful eventually

Well it's cool that you guys patrol then, much better than letting it get out of control

I do my best to keep it realistic man, if people are doing everything right and are squared away we leave them alone and let them carry on. If they aren't, we'll typically I tell them to pack it up, but if a ticket is given it is well earned

Thanks man. I was taught and trained by a couple of the most down to earth people I've met. Their style matched my style. Now that being said it's not always butterflies and rainbows either, but once someone crosses the "line" of reasonableness, we also aren't afraid to do our job.

I often put myself in people's shoes to determine what is and isn't reasonable. I also explain to the people I'm interacting with that they would have been upset if someone else had done to them, what they did to another. Example: they'd be upset if someone rode by their house on an atv at top speed, so what makes them think when they are doing it, it's ok? Seems to work well for me, and my supervisors back it every time.

It might have a lot to do with the agency they work for. Some agencies have a big D competition within them, some deal with a-holes all day every day, some are less involved within the community itself. There's a ton of factors that influence policing style. This is just mine bro
