Try calling Access?? They might make it or have some better ideas....

You might have to get two seperate items. I've got the Access Lightrider Cover and it does not affect the bed rails at all....so depending on how the ladder rack you want mounts to the bed- You could get the rack and the cover and go from there??

Yeah...I did mean does not....Thinking to fast for my own typing. The cover had has you bolt off the rails....put some spacers in between and use longer bolts to bolt the bed rails on top of the tonneau rails back to the stock points on the truck. So you could put a regular ladder rack on with it too....I would think..

    Sorry for the bad typing...

Doesn't exist.. been trying since I got my 05 a few years back. No one will make one claiming that the bed sides aren't strong enough to support stuff like that. Pace Edwards makes a set of rails and they had sent me an email which stated the whole side bed strength thing and that they would not manufacture or market their product for for 2nd gen Tacoma because of that.

I've been looking for something like those pictured above for my '09 and still there is nothing on the market for 2nd gen tacos? :( I have the extang tri-fold which is fine but I've had to remove the whole thing one too many times because I needed the full length of the bed and while it's easy to remove, it does not fit in the bed with the tailgate closed and I'm concerned about the seals as they are only stuck on with adhesive and everytime it's removed and bumped around, it's a little more likely they will come off. I want to go back to what I had on my '01, the roll up access cover. I didn't get it this time around because I didn't think I'd be able to use the bed rails.

exactly what i found. i carry a lot of stuff that doesn't fit nicely in the bed because it's bulky or fragile(bikes surfboards kayaks). i was getting a cover at the same time, and i knew they made the two togeather. i loved the pace edwards integrated rack/cover design, but they gave me a very similar response. pace edwards is still a great cover though, so i got on and just went with a roofrack

btw, the thule roofrack i got is strong as hell, you could easily carry a number of ladders up there if they are strapped down well. when my bed was full of other stuff, i carried a trailer axle and 30 2x4s at the same time on it

Depending on how much you're putting on there, you could try an undercover... it'll void the warranty, but since it's just a plastic cover you can just add mounts for a rack.

I've debated about adding bike fork mounts to mine but have a hitch rack to use instead (I'd add fork mounts if I find the need to tow and have bikes at the same time)
