Mazda is a lot more fun to drive than a honda. Cheaper too. The skyactive gets 30 plus mpg.

 

Mazdaspeed 3 fast and still get better gas mileage then the truck

 

I liked the Mazda 3s when I used to valet. Fun little cars. Never got any manuals but even as an auto it was fun

My wife had a Mazda 3 hatch back manual. It was fun to drive and great gas mileage too. Traded it in for the 4runner.

Check with pelfrey on what size winch will fit in their bumpers. Might be a tight squeeze to get a bigger one to fit in there. just a suggestion.

 

The hatch has to be my favorite among the 3s. Roomy and practical

 

i don't think they really have had any issues for a while now. When i worked at Ford i don't remember them having any known major issues and this was back in 2003-2008

 

Same as the ones they sell just older brand

 

The only issues we had on the Mazda was it's a bitch to change the oil because it sits so low, headlights are a bitch to change because everything is so crammed into that engine compartment, struts had to be changed out every 30k miles, tires are sport rated and pretty expensive, and AC condenser needed to be replaced twice(common issue with these). Other then a little rougher ride because of the sport setup, it was fun.
