I think you're exactly the type of person who would like riding 2 stroke. Even though you're a big guy, you don't seem like a lazy rider. You could ride a 300r and ring it's neck like you're supposed to. Similar power to the 450 but so much lighter and easy to throw around.

If only it was that convenient, but it seems you always need to start it uphill, off camber, and in a rut.

I rode my friends 300xc this weekend and was impressed by how light it was but it just doesn't have the grunt that I Love like my 450. I rode CR250s for quite a few years but ever since I made the switch to 4stroke I've never looked back.

I do like the hydraulic clutch though. I wish more manufacturers would put them on from the factory

Yeah it definitely doesn't wanna tear your head off in the low end like the 450's.

I've run Photoshop 7 (the Pros' all time favorite lightweight photo editor) on Linux Mint for years. I use Wine to install and run it. Nothing I can't do photo editing wise with Photoshop 7 on my Linux Mint desktop, and I highly recommend this setup to anyone who wants to get away from Windows and run a cutting edge Linux desktop. In addition I run Adobe Illustrator 10 in Wine, plus Adobe Acrobat Pro 6. They all run flawlessly.

TecMint has a comprehensive list of the 8 best video editing softwares for linux, one or more of which should do the job for you. Check it out here: https://www.tecmint.com/best-free-video-editing-softwares-for-linux/

    Enjoy!

The 250 xc pushes 48hp at 220ish lbs. The most beefy 450 pushes about 55-57hp at 50lbs heavier. Both of those have more power than you can use except for maybe 10% of the time. My 135lb self will take the lighter bike.

HP is not a real measurement of engine power. The other magic number makes all the difference. Besides CR500 in a 250 frame FTMFW!

Man I do 20mph through single track and feel like I'm flying. I don't have the need for that kind of power.

+1!! ..I'm with you. Slow single track back country riding is the best. I can actually SEE what's around me and enjoy the ride, instead of trying to pick the best line as I fly past things I don't have time to pay attention to!..

I like a bit of both, but it's much less painful to crash on single track than flying through open trails at 50+mph.
