I thought the vendor commented in the group buy that no modifications needed to be made to your truck to work.

So the 4600 and 5100 are the same shock internally with the difference being the 5100 is longer for lifted applications. To put 5100s on stock height would be a waste of money. What do you have on there right now?

That recovery period in between mods is like a hangover.

Modding is like sex throughout the years...when you're young you can recover quickly between sessions...bouncing back and hitting it again in different crazy ways...but as the older you get, the more time you need between sessions a little more planning is involved and a whole lot of stretching....

You are modifying your truck anyway, for the ditch lights

Trimming that cowl was a PITA for my ditch lights because it was hard to mark where you really needed to cut since nothing was really flat in that area.

Just take your time and you will be fine ... and above all else, make sure that mothereffing cowl is attached correctly at all attachment points, otherwise it will rattle when you are driving over 30mph. Ask me how I know.

The ends of the cowl pop off (at least on my '15 it did) which minimized trimming.

I trimmed waaayyy too much and now I have about a two inch gap between the cowl and the brackets. Hasn't caused me any issues yet though. Also, I am in search of a new vent cowl hahaha.

I was in a rush installing mine and also cut off a little too much. Never had an issue and wasn't about to fork out the cost of a new one. It was like $50 IIRC
