Well, I haven't gotten that far, so I don't know. It is something I'd like to do on mine first before I go and start on others. Also, get a locker for that 2wd and you'll be just as capable if not more capable than if you had 4wd.

I actually like the idea of having a compressor in the truck

Can be used for so many things

Can you use it for other things if its hooked to the locker?

Or is that why people do the dual compressors?

The ARB single I have is able to do 2 lockers as well as air up tires and other things. The twin just gives you more #EAF points and does everything faster with a 100% duty cycle.

    :fistbump:

I have 4.10s stock... don't think it's just 4bangers. At least for first gens. Most first gen 4bangers come with 4.30s even I think... we have whimpier motors though. I think my best friend's 2WD 4.0 has 3.73s

Realistically, 4.88s and 35s would be ideal, especially for city driving. Would have awesome pickup but still be able to cruise.. mpg would probably go down 1-2 on the highway but totally worth it IMO.

Jeeps are weird in that 5.13s are magic for 35s, somehow hold 2400rpm at aboht 80mph but you can tell it has low asf gears. But you can't throw 5.13s in a Toyota, so you can either go down to a 4.88 or up to a 5.29. I plan on running 5.29s with my 37s, I'd go lower but I'm going to have dual cases.

4.56s would probably work... but why regear and not go all out? :mudding:

Edit: my buddy with the 4.0 is running 35s on stock gears (2WD) and it is probably faster in every situation than my 4.10s pushing 33s behind my little 3.4l... was probably still faster than me with 31s :bananadead: I guess I am fully armored though..

I should add, there is a bunch of dirt road time on those routes, a few water crossings (nothing a 2wd couldnt handle) and some time on pavement to get to and from the dirt roads.

    I just got more excited.
If my truck can't handle any of this I will have it up on Craigslist the next day.

Hm, looks like a fun cruise... will see if I can somehow fix and tow the Taco down from Lubbock this weekend

I'd take the Tundra out but my parents would proooooooobably kill me, since the title is in their name... heh...
