Roof Top Tents - Name brand vs. Off brand

So basically, most RTT companies outsource their products from China.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience buying one directly from the source instead of from a company like Tepui or CVT. They're obviously a lot cheaper, but they also don't get you any customer service or guarantee.

 

And you probably have to order a whole shipping container of them and deal with the import process. Others have done it, most wouldn't ever do it again... Even if you get a single one, you'd still have the bureaucratic crapola to deal with.
