    I've had rotopax and I know they don't leak or vent any vapor/fumes. So you could store them in an enclosed space (ie camper shell) and not worry about smelling gas.

    Any comment on whether the spectre cans (MFC or civilian version) vent fumes?

    Good question, the civilian versions I saw didn't vent, at least I don't think so , the other plastic ones supposedly vent but I've never seen them do so, they swell up alot when in the sun and then you push the button to allow the expansion to vent.. , then in the evening they shrink and buckle inward. Don't know about the MFCs

    I keep my Scepter MFC in the closed cap of my truck and smell no gas fumes

    Huh , my cap wrench works great , and I've never jumped on the side of my gas cans so I'll just take your word for it , but having said that under normal uses , I've had no leaking issues or gasket problems with my MFCs and I've had them for a bit over 5 years

    Does anyone have this. Its the Frontrunner double jerry can holder. Want to know if it will hold them secure even during sharp corners. Or just your experience with them. Thanks

    @username

    Realize I'm reviving this from the dead, but like you- I don't want to use the "Army" ones we used. NO THANK YOU.

    Do you know the brand an/or where you got your "motocross style" cans? That's the kind I'm looking to put into/on my rig.

    Also, did you have to buy the "spout" separately?

    Thanks for your help.

    I have 2 of the motocross style. I have "VP Racing Fuel" brand ones, but many companies make them as well. They do not include the pour spouts.
    I really like this style, as they pour super fast when needed. I do need to replace my vent caps though as they are chewed up and leak a tad when I lay them down (however they are 4 yrs old or so, and i use them alot as my fuel jugs for my lawn mowing buissness).

    Spouts are under "frequently bought together" if you scroll down. https://www.amazon.com/VP-Racing-Fu..._5?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1497560684&sr=1-5

    I use a gatorade bottle for chainsaw gas. Saves a hike back to the pickup.

    Seeing as you're in Houston, you can buy them at any Buc-eyes for around $40 and they come with the spout :thumbsup:

    How did you mount this ? I picked one up at Costco recently and haven't figured out how I want to mount it. I might throw it in an ammo can I got for free and throw a lock or bunjee cord over the top. This is what I came up with so far but haven't committed to anything yet. IMG_1003.jpg
