Lastnight my old man's Supercharged 3rd gen 4Runner was totalled. His gf was driving it, from the story I got, someone tried cutting her off, she swerved to avoid collision, hit a bus and flipped. She walked away with just a sore neck and a few bruises.

    IMG_2373.jpg IMG_2374.jpg IMG_2375.jpg IMG_2376.jpg IMG_2377.jpg IMG_2378.jpg IMG_2379.jpg IMG_2380.jpg IMG_2381.jpg IMG_2382.jpg

In its glory...RIP old gal. It was mine before I sold it to my old man, hurts to see it like that, thankfully she walked away alive and in one piece.

A big thumbs up to TOYOTA for building a solid truck.

They're thinking of buying another 3rd gen 4Runner and swapping over the engine, it was recently fully rebuilt. No damages to the engine.

ditto, I'm surprised there was no overlap of the cabin. Judging by the roof extrication, I'm even more surprised she walked away without many problems. If you're telling us right, you're going to purchase a 3rd gen and swap the 5VZ-FE from this into there? Subbed for life, I want to see this happen!

    Thanks everyone!

It's a 2001 with about 160k on it, scooped it up for about $3100usd. It is immaculate for its age!

Holy crap...glad she wasn't seriously hurt, that looks brutal. I'm surprised the motor and S/C are in one piece, nice to hear you get to swap it over

The replacement, they were a TOYOTA family, made the transaction even better.

I'm glad she's alive. Cant believe people walk away from these. Glad you got a replacement looks nice. I would have kept those wheels though. Those 4runners are my favorite body style.
