Trail Gear front bumper installation.. HELP

this is only for 98-00 trucks

So to break it down.

01-04 just follow install instructions from trail gear.

98-00 cut off cross member

95-97 ??? Anyone have an answer?

 

How do you mount the front 3 skid plate bolts if you no longer have that crossmember in place?

 

95-97 that brace is bolted on and easily removed. install is same as 01-04

 

The bumper mount has slots for the skid plate. The mount comes with a thin strip of metal with holes, on top of the holes are nuts tacked in place.

So slide the strip in the bumper mount once it's bolted on, then line up skid plate, slot and nuts on the metal strip. Thenhold the strip in place with one hand while lifting the skid.Insert bolt with the other hand and spin it with index and middle finger till you feel threads catch.

I just did this and a few hours ago.

Eventually, I'm guna take it off and just tack the strip to the mount
