Eh. you arent gonna notice the power shift that much.. I didnt anyway. The truck was never fast to start with. I'd just get used to not moving quickly right off the line, you can def feel it there. Once it's up to speed you will be golden. Hills will reveal themselves as well

Overall it's not a huge deal. Even people who go 315's say the jump from 33's to 35 aint that bad either, just another layer

 

I was going to post about the power "upgrades" when I got the 285s but now I guess I won't. The next question is MPGs.

 

MPGs will improve on the highway due to something "math from larger diameter tires per roll". Stop and go... another story lol

 

I get a consistent 14 mpg on 33's with 4.56 gears, and a lot of extra weight, armor etc

 

2400 rpm at 70 gps mph, speedo is off a good bit

 

im on the stock gearing (3.73?) and i get 13 going 80 on the hwy and 15 city.. I have armor all around a huge wind catcher with the RTT as high as it is.

 

The only extra armor that'll be going on is a front bumper and, possibly, a back bumper. Now if I get an RTT, that's a whole nother story.

 

yep, I removed my windbrake parachute rtt last night in hopes of gaiaing back .10 - .25 mpg

 

there are members who get lo profile bed racks so the RTT is right at or below cab level but it'll hurt the mpgs either way.

I just fill the truck up when it gets low and keep trucking, this is the game we play when we mod mod mod

 

Hell I might as well go to 35's next set, how much worse can it get

 

Might actually look into getting one of them lo-pro racks. I like the way they flow.

 

Fuck it. lol Mom gets 50% general/contiential tires so when these wear out in the next 2-3 years i'll be stepping up

 

i drive slow as it is, this will just help me go slower
