    Electric Truck Owner in Waiting!
I'm already an owner of a reliable Tacoma in my mind. I'm going to have to do truck stuff and long distance driving. I've got two electric cars, a BMW i3 and a Nissan Leaf. Can't say enough about their reliability. Just took the Leaf in for a check up and the guy wouldn't work on it. He said that if there is going to be anything wrong with the electric drive train a message will come up. LOL! A dealer that doesn't want to get into your wallet? LOL! Seriously though, I only spend money on wiper blades and brake fluid oil changes. I'm not expecting an electric truck to go on sale soon, but would so eagerly buy one if one did.

    So... You love Leaf?

I don't see your dream of an all electric truck anytime soon. I have enough range anxiety with my Petrol powered pickup as is.

Welcome! Maybe a Hybrid Tacoma but don't see an electric one coming.

Ford Ranger EVs were made from 1998-2002.

Seems like you've over waited about 15 years.

I'm not waiting for an e truck as I need one now, but I am waiting for a serious practical e truck. A plug in hybrid would be an acceptable stopgap.

I'm confused, are you buying a Tacoma, or literally planning to wait till there is a hybrid?

I'm buying one, won't wait because I'm not aware of any hybrid midsize trucks in development.
