No I wouldn't do that and I drive a full size f150 now. You'll regret it unless you need the room for children or tow beyond the capabilities of the taco. You'll miss the mpgs, ease of manuvering and parking. I miss my mpgs and I average 18-19 city and 22isg hwy. I'm wanting back in a 1st gen ASAP btw.

I wouldn't do it for a couple of reasons.

    1) I own a 1st gen double cab
    2) I don't need (or want) that big of a truck (I don't even like the size of the 2nd gen Tacos)

Although... I recently bought a 2017 SR5 4Runner (kept the taco), that has actual internal storage, (unlike my 2004 Doublecab), and the 4.0L tows my camper trailer much better than my 3.4L (or you poor saps with the 3.5L tacos haha!). Still not really a fan of the larger size, but it's a DD and tow vehicle for vacations, etc... I want smaller for off-road. Anyway, I digress...

I've driven my dad's Tundra (before he sold it) and his current Sequoia. It's like driving... a building. It's just huge, the steering sucks (I can't feel the road at all), gas pedal is touchy, and a PITA to park. He tows a 20something foot Airstream, so he needs it, but pointless for me.

If you're a big guy, or tow heavier stuff, you'll like it. But if you like your current taco, and are just considering it because some guy offered you a deal on one, I'd pass.

Good for you, when you have a kid(s) later (maybe) then look towards a fullsize if you want. Feel out what will work best for you
