Stay out of Pasadena, the cops here love to pull people over for tinted windows...I made it 4 years in my last car until I moved there, within a month I got popped for it and had to prove to a judge that it was removed. It wasn't even that dark of a tint but unfortunately it's not legal in CA unless it was factory installed.

edit: on the front driver/passenger windows, rear windows you can aftermarket tint legally

So far I have been lucky the last 5 years that I've had the tint on there. I have asked several cops and they all gave me different answers as far as legalities on tinting the windows. Pretty much it's illegal but it's a law that isn't really enforced so it is up to each individual cop if they feel like enforcing it or not. The only work around would be if you have a doctors prescription stating that you have to have your windows tinted.

Damn I should've gotten a doctor's note lol. It really did help with the blazing heat/rays we get here in SoCal during the summer, I really miss having window tint.

5% on all my windows, still gets hot as hell inside. Ac works great for me tho. 30 seconds on full blast and its back to chilly. Black truck and black leather probably doesnt help though.
