Let's See Your Dogs!!

The humping is really a dominance thing sometimes. My female tries it occasionally when she's excited and someone is down on the floor with her. Not as much with me as with others, as the first time she did it to me she was quickly checked and scolded to remind her of who was dominant. Seen it with other females as well selectively on dogs not part of the pack to establish the order

Yep. Both my girls do it, and both are fixed.

My wife gets mad when I explain it as having lesbian dogs.

I had one female Lab who growled anytime a male dog tried to mount her.
Definitely some lesbian tendencies.

she's a beauty as we say in Australia. We call them border collies.

Picked up Bella last night. She is adjusting well. But must be hard being with 10 pups and momma to being in a new place with nobody but my wife and I

 

Ok, I need you borrow the dog for a few days.

 

The neighbor came to visit the other day....the pup couldn't contain herself.

We have 4 Italian Greyhound rescues, very people orientated, fast and funny. Sadly people get rid of them 'caus they are very expensive to maintain medically (we've spent over 20K on this motley crew).......Heck somebody's got to care and love them.

Yep! Got to start young. I've taken my dogs food away a couple times. Just because. Pet her while eating. Make her lay down while I fill her bowl. She's not allowed to eat until I say "okay."

All in the hopes she never becomes food aggressive.

If we are on a walk, camping, at the park, I can give her the "out" command and she will drop just about anything she has picked up.

 

Well there you go. Universal fact for all dogs.

 

That's what I did with my girls.... Annie is great for everything except when the granddaughter went to put her food down. Annie acted weird, so to protect all, I just feed them. I stay right next to her while she eats. In her defense, I've been the only one to feed her and she's now 11 1/2. Other than that she is great with everyone.

In addition to you taking her food, etc away, let others do it.
