OP I have ran Cooper Discoverer MTP and now Cooper Adventurer AT (Pep Boys Exclusive). The MTPs were great, and a fairly inexpensive mud tire. I have yet to put the adventurer AT to the test off road, but I will soon enough. I plan on upgrading to the ST Maxx soon because it's the perfect cross between an AT and MT.

The AT3 has more aggressive sidewalk lugs.

The ATP has more aggressive tread, and is largely considered to be the better tire.

Both use the same carcass and rubber compounds. Both are midrange ATs. Different? Yes. Largely the same? Yes. Pick your lug style, sidewall or tread - then go.

You're allowed a different opinion. That's mine, from comparing them firsthand and a lot of reading.

    I blame autocorrect.

But it's too funny to fix. :D

I have the S/T MAXX. They have a pretty aggressive tread, but are still fairly quiet. They are not as aggressive as the STT PRO

The question is, which tread pattern will accept the rim diameter of a disposable coffee cup?

They have had them for the past few years, BFG KO2's!

I just bought new tires for my truck, it is amazing how expensive those BFG's are for what you get (style).

AT3's I will be trying next, they get excellent reviews and outperform many off road and perform highly on road. Expedition portal put them to an excellent test and ranked them 1st.

So based on what I've been reading, AT3 and ATP are pretty much the same. Now the ATP, I've seen some that says 115T and 112T for the 265/70/17.. what's the difference between the 112t and the 115t?

I also had the ST MAXX Discover tires. By far the best tire I have ever used. Aggressive but quiet and did the job when needed no matter the conditions.

I'm at about 66 k on my AT3's ...really solid tire ...I'm on pavement 90% of the time....only issue that I've run into is minor cupping the last couple thousand miles but I'm on the the last legs of these babies. Will be purchasing another set here in the next week. As far as pics go I can't remember the thread but there is tons out there running these tires
