I think we're all more 5 star hotel people...

The problem is is you don't get any privacy, you can't do whatever you want, can't have animals with you (the majority of the time). Have to pay for every food you get.

I'll take doing whatever I want over a shower and toilet any day lol.

At least with luxury camping you can bring blankets and pillows and a nice grill with a bunch of beer.

Backpacking is brutal. Last time we went I brought a $10 floaty with me and jay was talking shit to me about the ~3lbs extra weight I put in my pack for it. I didn't use it for floating, I slept on it and it was sooo nice.

It was funny too cause we invested is $100 self inflating back packing pads after having to sleep on rocks the previous summer. Jay stacked them for himself and it was still a mild comfort compared to mine.

 

That damn brown sand. Spent many a weekend on the bay side of the state park there fishing. Spent many a day on the pier too.

 

I heard it was hella hot and humid in florida? Not only that it's all developed, plus sharks and crocs?

 

Yeah I don't like the beach in Galveston unless I just want to go drink and fish or drive around at San Luis Pass.

Cozumel/Cancun was the best beach experience I've had.

I thought it couldn't get any nicer than surfrider in Malibu and I went to the kaui coast and I literally spent 6+ hours a day rolling around in the sand and water and oh man. Fools were not exaggerating when they were talking about how nice it was.

Orlando and the such yes. I have family in Melbourne (hour south of Orlando) and it's nice and spread out, not too crowded. Pic is of mom and I from 2015 last time I was down there, that's in Melbourne and it was getting ready to storm
