2017 TRD PRO, who's waiting?

I know how I would feel if I were forced to part with mine.......I'd definitely try everything possible to keep it! So I really do feel your pain!!! I hope you can figure out a way to keep it.

I came within a few days of trading my Cement Taco Pro in on a Cement 4R Pro. Put a deposit down on one that was supposedly available(no deposit, etc) The sales guy told me he checked the computer, and with the GM and it was clear. I got a call this evening from the dealer in Virginia Beach, VA saying there was a mistake made and that someone did have a deposit on it months ago....I call bullshit...I was not able to drive out there until Monday, so they prob wanted to cover their end of the month quota. Lying bastards....Really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Just another reason to hate car salesman and stealerships. At this point I am probably going to keep the Taco Pro, and keep enjoying the thing. I really could use the extra room that the 4R offers, but finding a Cement 4R Pro that is either market way above MSRP, or already spoken for before hitting the dealer lot is truly a unicorn.

 

That's what you get for trying to trade in your Pro Tacoma!

Hi, I am new here but not to Toyota. I just ordered an allocated 2017 TRD Pro in Super White. I built it in white, then fell for cement too. But kept with Super White in the end.
Why are they so rare to find? Does anyone know the number US is getting? Curious

No definitive numbers but looking back this is what I pulled from the rumor mill looking at the forums...

Toyota is building ~2500 TRD Pros for 2017, with roughly even numbers across all 3 colors. So ~830 Pros in each color.

I also heard that 95% of all Pros will be automatic, the rest manual. That comes out to 125 MT Pros in total. ~41 MT Pros in each color. I don't trust this one, 5% MT seems way too low. Make of it what you will.

I was in contact with a dealer in KY about a cement pro. They would not come off MSRP at all. I even told them I was going to purchase a vehicle within the next 3 days and they still wouldn't budge. I ended up buying a Tundra Crew Max TRD OR. More room for the family and I got it for a couple grand less than the Tacoma Pro.

 

you did good on tundra crew if you have family for sure. it is lot more comfortable
