Love the set up. Whole reason I bought mine was for my kayak. I hope to have it. By the 1st week of August. If not then it is what it is.

I have the folding ones from thule. They're a bit pricey but very solid and have a nice spot for straps. They also have locks you can get for them and carriage bolts go right in them for the tracks

That's what I was thinking until I saw how pricey they were. I already have a Thule T2 bike rack! I wonder if paddleboard pads might work, or else I'll just bite the bullet and buy those too haha

I also have the morimoto 40' but haven't installed it yet. @Shmellmopwho has the same setup and he told me he was super impressed by it. Maybe he can chime in

I like it a lot. Not as bright as I was hoping for but it's lights up everything in front of you. So it works for its purpose. But it's my second one, first was a cali raised, and i wouldn't go back but mainly because of looks.

I wasn't trying to justify any shortcomings. Simply stating where I am and what I am am trying to do. Bottom line is I won't steal your money and won't disappear and I will work through the problems that are there but yes it could take me some time to get it worked out. I fully admit that there needs to be improvement and I am working on doing so.

It is important to know that although my goal would to be have no complaints. Complainers always will speak louder than satisfied customers. I have hundreds of satisfied customers that I have never even seen or heard from via forums after their purchase.

When I was super stuck in the snow and needed to light up the forest in the pitch black night, my morimoto x torch did just that

I won't debate this here because there is probably a lot of misinformation on many fronts. I know pretty well the peoples whose orders have been delayed and dont make excuses for those, I do know though that I rarely go 2-3 days without responding to emails and at this point the only ones that may not get a response are the ones asking for custom or new products.

All things aside, I'm glad to hear of your growth and I hope the load become more manageable and less stressful. I, like most, am excited for the rack. It'll be well used. Best wishes

It's only got the amber covers on the flood sections. I like the way that it works though. I'm rarely doing night runs or anything like tht but it works well for me and it's good to have when I do need it like situations like this that I came across

Definitely does. Not nearly as reflective off of the dust or fog so that helps for sure

No weatherstripping? I'm waiting for delivery but have been weighing the pros and cons of drilling mine or just leaving it off all together.

No, I opted out since I didn't have weather stripping on the one side for a while, and I figured of I ever part out I'll save my weather strips.

Pro tip: if there is any chance of rain in the forecast, wait to install the rack. There was a slim chance of rain, and as soon as I took the stickers off the roof it poured! Like a monsoon. Luckily I has RTV and the spacers over the holes, and so far so good. The rain broke and I touched up my RTV around my spacers.

It stormed a lot that night, and no issues with moister in my truck! So yeah, weather stripping would help maybe, but didn't have an impact on me!

I have a garage but that is a great tip for others, thanks. Once everything is installed and dry it should all be perfectly sealed right? With or without the weatherstrip?
