New member from Hawaii

This is my second Tacoma that I've owned. My previous Tacoma was a 2006 Sport Edition, which took good care of me. It never left me stranded, but I felt that it was time to get a new 2017 Sport Edition.

I hated the original grille, so I changed it to a T-Rex zRoadz Grille with a 20" light bar. I also added TAC running boards and tinted all of the windows. My other Tacoma's front end got all beat up from flying rocks, so on my new Tacoma I added a complete front end and hood paint protection. It was expensive but it's better than seeing the paint get all nicked up.

T & T Tinting...kind of expensive, but I got a 30% off coupon at their booth at the First Hawaiian Auto Show. $1200 - $360...$840. It's warranted for 10 years and covers the entire hood, and the entire front bumper area.

 

I never thought of running boards as protection for door dings, but they do stick out about 3 inches from the bottom edge of the door. Door dings usually occur in the mid-section of the door, so I can't guarantee that the running board will protect your door in that area. Amazon is where I got them for only $179 and free shipping.

 

Nice ride! How do you like that zroadz grille? Good light output, came.with all wiring? Been close to pulling the trigger on one myself, your the first person I've seen with one installed on a Tacoma.

I got mine on Amazon and only paid $515 plus free shipping. The LED light bar is really bright. It looks like it mounts flush to the back of the grille, but actually there's some up and down adjustment. So I angled mine down just slightly below straight ahead, so that it doesn't blind other drivers. The install was straight forward with a little modifications to get it to fit perfect. It comes with all of the wiring and switch for the light bar. I ran my wires so that it looks factory installed so it took some time, but easy to install. The most time consuming part was getting the wire through the firewall and into the cab. You won't be disappointed!

 

welcome! like the grill and light bar. i did the one above the license plate. i got a 32 off Amazon warehouse for 29 bucks lol. it wont center perfectly cus its a bit too long but worth it. check out warehouse sometimeif you can get a 30. with your other one, should light up the trail like a beast!
