I changed my turn signals to led bulbs front and back. How do I wire the resistors in? Or does somebody have a link on how you do it? And do I have to put one on the front and the back for both sides? Thanks in advance pic is my combination 2009 trd

They go in parallel with the bulbs. The led bulbs don't draw enough current, so by putting the resistor in parallel it lowers the resistance and draws more current.........hope this helps.

Have done the install yet or just doing home work?

    I went this way:

Do your homework about vehicle specifics but the 30 minutes to look up, disassemble the dash, install reassemble was worth it for me over cutting into the harnesses.

I ended up installing a flasher relay, much easier and safer imo. Got the part number from several threads here and found it on eBay for about $8 shipped.

It replaces the current relay. Diode Dynamiocs also makes one for $10

    As above - replacement.

You have to do the following:
    remove foot pad
molding at the side of the pedals
the under part of the dash
a couple 10mm bolts holding the fuse block

Once the fuse block is free, unplug flasher relay on the back - install new
    replace all the stuff

It's more of a PITA than difficult for sure - finding the relay in the truck was the hardest part.

I got my lamps and relay at the same time...

If you have DTRL, you have to eliminate it to use the Diode Dynamics flasher. To do that, you buy the grey plastic jumper block from the dealer and it goes in the back of the fuseblock along with the DD flasher.

Edit: The DD Smarttap flasher is worth the extra money for all the cool things it does.

Pretty sure he can still use the flasher relay if he has DRL. It's the fancy relay that controls other stuff that doesn't work with DRL.

Umm I just wired the resister in between the dtrl pos and neg wires. It's really easy. Then mounted behind the grill so they get airflow. No probs in 3 yrs.

With DTRL and without DTRL is 2 completely different flashers. Without DTRL is a CF18 (LM449). I couldn't find a DTRL flasher on the DD website.
