got up early this morning to work on the truck, water the plants, and breath reasonable temp air. I openened the garage front roll-up door and put a big fan in the side door. Got the temp down to 83 degrees by the time the sun was coming in the yard (about 6:00 AM). Since I still was piddling around I closed up the doors and turned on the garage AC. I stayed at 84 degrees until I was done about Noon and the garage concrete slab was actually cool! My Tacoma has a good life now, living in the shade, but it had the outdoor life the first 4 years. Building that garage a couple years ago was a good thing.

 

For you Coyotes fans that didn't see it. The Coyotes decided not to offer Shane Doan a new contract. They did offer him a front office job. However, Doan's agent said he will be looking at his option with a new team and a chance at the Cup next season.

No Doan or Smith.... lets see what they do.

 

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of ball park figure did that garage cost you?

Once I have myself better situated here I'm going to be looking for a house, but alas not many in my price range have a respectable garage/workshop space.
I've been tossing around the idea of looking for a place with an RV ramp to put a garage on.

 

We lost Doan as well. Well there goes the season.

The Smith trade was solid if you ask me as long as we can lock in a deal with Johnson. He was aging a bit, cost us a ton of money, we hadn't seen the post season since 2012 and lets be honest he's no Roy, Osgood or Brodeur who's going to be dominant into their 40s. It was time.

I am a little bent about the Doan deal. We should have offered him something if he wants to keep playing but he's at the far tail end of his career. He's 40 and showing fatigue. I would love for him to go get a ring somewhere but the honorable thing would be take a spot of the staff and continue to influence these young guys in the best way possible and go out a Coyote.

 

I'm not even 21 yet

 

Made it to WA. tired as hell but surprising my father in-law was worth the 23hr drive.

Screw the heat. Back in a few weeks when people need the music really loud.
