some 5th gen owners have modified the full length front runner rack for front support without drilling.

im sure its something along that idea

    They don't.

Member/fabricator with legit and successful products currently available on TW. The rack for the Tacoma should be prototyped this weekend, shell rack next, then 4R full length.

I'll be the first to run it.

Hoping I can sell my Frontrunner for a full length option. Things are looking great so far.

    Bigger things happening next week.

    From FR?

I wouldn't want a non drill honestly. I've heard horror stories.

Is it steel? If so, I wouldn't want that either really. Rust into roof sounds miserable.

Don't go through a machine car wash ever. I'm sure you've heard the stories

Car washes are trash anyways. They just fuck up your paint. So I'm doing a no drill roof rack haha

Although I always hear this, I always took my cars through washes before I had one that wouldn't fit, and never had a single issue.

I was just letting @T4RFTMFW know because I think he's still on stick suspension and fits in washes.

I saw in t4r somebody went through with a no drill, the machine caught on the front and bent it up puncturing their roof so their cab flooded and they broke the machine and had to pay to fix it

I won't do a pull through car wash cause I'm too lazy to take my awning off. Spray and pay or drive way it is

Dumb people buy drill in racks also. ;)

Can't fix stupid, but you can offer them another rack option. :D

My boss takes his Porsche Cayanne diesel through the car wash by our office. I cringe every time he says it does a good job.

Granted he doesn't like that car and is still getting screwed over with that whole VW EPA fiasco (they made components for the Porsche diesels). Can't sell it without a big loss and can't trade it in since there isn't a solution to the "issue".
