Hey guys I have a 2001 Tacoma fourdoor short bed and I want to replace the whole muffler setup under the truck. Do you have any suggestions to what I should get?? Links would be greatly appreciated!

X2 on the Flowmaster. If you replace the "whole" setup, are you replacing your cat converter? If so, that's pretty spendy... JMO

I just had a flowmaster super 40SS installed with a turndown at the rear axle. It has a little rumble but not too loud...

2.25", single in and out, centered. Just like the Amazon link. I haven't had any first-hand experience with the 18". I'm sure it's similar, just quieter. I needed the short one because I ran the tailpipe up over the frame then back down in front of the rear tire to tuck things up out of harms way.

Been very happy with a gen 3 Tacoma muffler (20 bucks) and 25 install.
I would say buy used after you install you pretty much forget about it.

Going through this old thread. Question. Is a good sound? I mean without going through all that money to get a new muffler system? Is this worth it?

also remember if you plan to get aftermarket leaf springs, more than likely you will need to remove the tailpipe. When I get this weekend I can take a pic and show you what I mean.

Believe me when I say this, it's a Tacoma truck. Don't spend no more than 200 dollars for your exhaust unless you are running something crazy like turbo, nitrous, etc... you are just throwing your money away. It's a truck folks.

I have a 14” mangaflow with a turn down before the rear axle. Also have Thorley headers and LCE test pipe (cat delete). Sounds good. Almost too loud at times but I don’t really mind it. Considering replacing with an 18” magnaflow in the future.

I'm running a similar setup with DNA headers and a 13" Flowtech raptor turned down. It has a nice tone and is agressive enough to be noticeable but not enough to be annoying
