CBI has probably the best lead times in the industry. Great guys to wheel with too.
    Glad to see this.

I don't mind CBI, make good stuff. But they don't do any sales :pout:

If price doesn't go up ( ) I'll happily buy from them

    This. CBI crew is great.

Some will stick with them and some won't, but no doubt it'll be a good thing for CBI.

I was going to let CBI make the announcement but since the news is already starting to flood out I figured I might as well add some insight on the situation here.

CBI approached me at the beginning of the year about partnering or purchasing the PRINSU lineup. We have been talking on and off throughout the year and finally came to an agreement.

I am sure there will be some concerns regarding how the change will affect the product line but if I am being completely honest I only see things improving. PRINSU has grown drastically to the point where I already dont have the manpower to appropriately accommodate customers.

CBI already has the infrastructure in place to grow a product line like mine. They have more space, more efficient systems, more employees, and more business experience in general. They also make quality products. I have many of their products on my own vehicle and have been nothing but pleased with them all. I dont doubt for a minute that they will transfer that quality to the roof rack product line.

I also made it pretty clear to CBI that one of the goals of my company was to keep the focus on the customer. I didn't get into this game to get rich and I would rather sacrifice some profit to keep the costs reasonable for the consumer. I cant guarantee what they will do but they know where I stand and I feel confident they will continue to uphold those values.

In all, the change should be nothing but beneficial for the community and bring nothing but good to the PRINSU lineup. There will be a transition period and I will be present during that time to help and make sure things go smoothly, and I should have more free time to be on the forums to answer questions.

It's more of the roof wasn't strong enough to justify it. When I stand on my rack the back mounts indent the roof. But when I got off it goes back to normal. So image it on a double cab where the pillar is another foot or so farther back, I don't see it happening but hopefully I'm wrong

One of the other benefits to the transfer is that it will allow me to put some time back into designing. They own the product line now but I will be helping produce new designs, new accessories, etc. which is something I haven't been able to do recently due to the workload of managing incoming orders.

    First, congrats.

Are you personally still filling orders? Or are all current and future orders to be filled by CBI?

@zscott UPS finally updated and the rack is showing up one day later. Haha.

Good luck with moving forward. Best wishes. And I'm excited to see what the future holds if you're going back to a design roll. Any teasers?

Any order that was placed before the 6-16-2017 will be primarily my responsibility. CBI is handling all orders following that date and we will likely work together on some of the more recent orders so that lead times can start coming down.

Are they going to keep the Prinsu branding or change it to CBI rack?
