Nebraska where you at???

Hey guys,

shot in the dark here, but I am from Texas looking to pull the trigger on a first gen here located in Bellevue...

wondering if anyone here in Omaha could do a fellow taco owner (used to have a '15 TRD sport/6spd) a solid and maybe check it out for me - particular the frame - as it's a first gen OR if anyone knew a reliable mechanic I could do a PPI at. The taco is being sold at a toyota dealership in Omaha. I have photos too if any experts could advise against this purchase.

Anyone know of anywhere in Omaha that sells roof-top tents? I'm making the drive down to KC in two weekends and may plan on just stopping by an REI while I'm there if there's nothing here. Options are always better though. Just installed a Frontrunner roof rack on my silver '11 dcsb, so if you see one driving around, that's me!

 

Was it a grey/silver extra cab with a camper shell/cap?

 

I work in sales at Corwin Toyota in Bellevue. We actually have a 03 double cab off road that is in better condition than the Silver xtra cab was in. Wish I would of seen this sooner.

Random and unrelated, but how do you like your NV's? I've been thinking of switching to something black to match my PB high clearance that's getting here this week.

 

Anyone want to do a meetup soon? Pretty big into the Jeep scene in Omaha but not so much the Toyota scene anymore. Maybe Sunday, Aug 20th?

 

I could probably do that. What are you planning on doing? I have a full 5100 setup and AAL that I need to put on one of these days.

 

I'll be on the road trying to shoot the eclipse somewhere.

True, probably not the best weekend to do a meetup. I know quite a few people will be out of town. Would Sunday, Aug 27th work better? Not much going on that weekend, at least for me. I'm thinking maybe we could grill out at Lake Manawa, say around 1pm or 2pm.

 

Think he can do it some night this week before next Friday? I got 285's on and they rub pretty damn bad on the cab mount haha. I'm headed to the mountains next weekend and would love if I could get it done before then. Seeing if I can get BAMF's plates overnighted.
