    Hi all,

I'm going to attempt to install a rubber mat over my tailgate reinforcement in the near future. I'll do a write up of it with pics when I do. However, in the meantime, I was wondering if anyone knew what drill bit sizes would be recommended for the two different sizes of screws in the tailgate. I'm going to drill holes in the mat to be able to affix it to the tailgate. Yeah, I can eyeball it and start small and work my way up, but I'd rather see if anyone happens to have this information readily available. Thanks!

    Have you removed the screws?

If it were me I'd remove them and size the bit accordingly.

^^Yep. I agree.. I'd take the two different screws out and size drill bit according to the hole size.
Them I'd lay the mat down to mark the spots for holes.

That was pretty much my plan. I want there to be a little bit of play so there can be some flexibility and movement. Just figured I'd ask if anyone had experience with something similar.
