I have an 09 sport model with LSD and I want to change the rear diff fluid. I understand that my LSD in fact actually controls rear wheel spin with the brakes, not a true LSD? If this is the case would I need LSD additive?

If your lsd is controlled by the brakes... You do not need the additive. The additive is only necessary if you have the mechanical lsd. ;)
