^ sounds like a good balance of both. I have a 3rd gen.. not sure if it makes a difference.
Currently have some king 14" 600# but don't want to install them if I will just have to swap them for 700# anyway

i have fox parts # 880-02-418. i wonder what kind of spring rate it has? I think my ride is ok, dun think i want more front lift since it level with the back perfectly with an icon aal. However, i do woder if i need just a little higher spring rate since i have a alumnium sos front bumper.

I wouldn't think so. Aluminum is half the weight of steel. Imo you should be ok. Contact fox and find out the specs of your coilovers just to be sure.

@jvill4 read through this and see if it helps you decided. BTW I think the truck looks good as is stands. If it were mine (my opinion only here), if I my truck looked like yours, I wouldn't change anything at the moment. I like it.;)

Might just need to find a longer spring to make up that 1 inch. (Insert, that's what she said, joke here) hahah

Quick question. How much does sliders affect the height of our setup? No weight up front yet. Running 885s and I'm dclb Prerunner. Currently have almost 3"

They are usually 90 to 100 pounds 50 to each side. So it affects back and front. Probably not more than 1/8 of an inch.
Edit if you have nerds the 40 to 50 pounds per side and hardly affect anything.

i have the SSO slimline steel bumper (supposedly only 40lbs more than stock bumper per the website, winch (around 70lbs), sliders, trd stock skip plate.... im replacing the PRO suspension with the 2.5 fox shocks soon but not sure if i should go with the 650 or 700lbs springs from another company to pair with the shocks (the shop recommended eibach or icon springs).

i want to get the full 3" lift from the fox 2.5's, but dont think i have a ton of weight to justify the 700lbs springs, nor do i want too stiff of a ride for a daily driver. what do you guys think??

I say do it. You can always add more fun stuff to the front if you need more weight. With a bumper, winch and armor, I’d say you have plenty to soften up the 700lb springs.

I run 700s king 2.5 with resi and comp adjusters. Winch, front skid, honey badger bumper, sliders and with just me in truck it rides a bit stiff. Tho the trade off is it soaks up massive holes off-road. When a second person is in the cab and aired down, it rides fantastic. Went from 600-700 and super happy with it. Like I said tho, on street driving will be a bit firm on little imperfections on the road. So far I’m only running about 2 threads exposed of pre load.

i went with 650lbs to split the difference, i don’t want the super stiffnesss on a daily driver on the streets as most describe

    Let's keep this going:

I got a 2020 double cab Tacoma off-road. It will have full tubular kick-out sliders, RCI 3 piece skid plates (steel), relentless hybrid front bumper (steel), Smitty Winch 10,000 pound syn., and possibly a bigger battery down the line. Also 315/70/17 km3 if that matters.
Experienced installer of the icon stage 7 suspension says stick with 650 springs.
What do you think? 700 or 650. I can have either, same price.

I have a C4 lo pro with a 10k winch and full aluminum skids and sliders, Also had a bedrack with a RTT. Currently running 700lbs on fox 2.5 coilovers and theyre too stiff. Gonna switch to 650s I believe.

I've just recently installed some 700lb springs on King shocks, and I don't find it too stiff at all. I don't have a winch either, or a full plate bumper. Lo pro stingray bumper by relentless fab with a light bar in it for now, skids, sliders. Can't say I have any issues with how it rides.

I did come from a WRX previously with a very jarring and stiff OEM suspension, so maybe i'm just desensitized.
