I know several people with both. I know a guy that has been reloading for 40+ years and still uses his RCBS single stage. I don't know that it really makes a difference anymore but I have nothing bad to say about any of the RCBS products I've used.

That said I'm a casual reloader. As I'm sure @3378jakesr5 will point out any moment now....

Any one ever have a problem loading 223 where the shoulders collapses at some point reloading? Im betting on the crimping stage but there is hardly to no crimp on the rounds.

Post pictures! I never crimp my rifle rounds only handgun. Only thing i could think of that would do that is if the bullet isent inline inside the die causing it to hit the lip of the brass. Maybe the bullets are a bad batch and are larger in dia causing them to collapses the the shoulders.

With single stanges Not to much really some are built a little better machinging wise fit finish ect.. RCBS, hoarnady, lee, forester most will last you a life time. I have a RCBS rock chucker thats older than me. my shooting coaches father used it till be passed. he lent it to me when i was 17 to use till i could afford my own since he had another. Load handgun ammo on it since i wasent 21 yet. :rofl:He ended up giving me the press.

I say try using a single stage get a good foundation and most of the tools you need regardless. Than jump into a progressive once your need or time requires it. Thats how i learned.

I used to keep an archive of my unique rejects when reloading, but over the years the collection became pretty extensive and I ran out of room on my shelf. The only one I can remember that had a flared shoulder resulted from the seating die simply being set a tiny bit too deep*. But there are other ways it can happen, such as hydraulic pressure from using too much lube**.

    *Pretty common when changing calibers.
    **That's what she said.

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
    Tag.

Just put a 300blk AR together and have always had an interest in reloading.

Now seems like a good time to jump in!

If you decide to, let me know. I have some 300blk brass that was made from 223 brass that I will give you. It is less than 100 pieces if memory serves, but you are welcome to it. I am over in Land O Lakes, so not far from you.

I also have some Nosler 155 grain BTHP bullets that, while I cannot give away, I would give you a good deal on.
