I have an 01 with a fabtech 6". I have been looking for a good could over. I am curious if anyone has bought any or just use the standard strut type that come with the kit? The problem I see is the fab tech strut compresses the spring to to tight causing a rough ride. I am looking to smooth the ride and maybe gain an inch or to. Thanks

I used to have an 04 double cab with a fabtech lift on it. It def rode rough like you are describing. I went with some custom length sway away (SAWs) coilovers. I believe if you call them up, they likely have these available to purchase, if not they can make a custom set pretty quick like they did for me. I know for the 05-15 gens, that there are more common coilovers made for this application. Also, with these coils they are adjustable from 0-3 inches so you can play with the height. I did eventually get Total chaos UCAs to help with my alignment a little, but if you don't have much more lift I don't think you would need UCAs.

If I remember the coils were about $800-1000 for me back in the day.

Thanks for the replies. That's really the only complaint about the fab tech is the stiffness of the front. It's a pavement queen and occasional beach rides.
