I picked up aroll of felt tape for $1. I am going to use it wherever plastic pieces touch to prevent plastic rattles. I once broke a dash punching it trying to stop a rattle. :annoyed:

My next project is a system in my crawler from all the left over components that I have. I want to put the JBL system from my Tacoma in the tin top Zuk. Talk about a rattle challenge. Iam think allot of foam.

Might not be too bad. That JBL system doesn't put out much umph so it might not rattle to bad. Just get some deadener from Raamaudio and that should do the trick.

:) I'm sure it would. If I have more than 3-4 rattles I literally will go nuts trying to find them.

My mom had a rattle on her 05 Tacoma that was driving us nuts. We couldn't find it. I finally laid down on a skate board and had he drive around the block while I was under the truck. Exhaust heat shield was the issue. Thankfully now I have a go-pro that helps me find those rattles.

The entire dash would be ripped out after 10 min of listening to that.

My guess is the dash. Does it happen with AC on and off?

Lol I did the same thing! A mix of rtv, felt/foam tape, sound deadener, and expanding foam fills the insides of my truck. Hahaha.

If my truck ever catches fire it would be a respiratory hazard

Truth it works. Too many squeaks and rattles + more skinny pedal = no worries, just smiles per gallon
