Radio/GPS Automatic Update??

Has anyone else noticed the GPS truck arrow indicator now travels up the screen regardless of the direction you are travelling? It used to move to the right when going east, down when going south, etc. I actually prefer it the way it is now because it is always moving forward, (up), which seems less confusing to me. I asked the service dept at my dealer if this was some kind of automatic update and he wasn't sure. He said it may have been. I work for a Lexus dealer and one of the techs told me they can't do automatic updates. All I know is I didn't change anything. In fact, I looked for a way to change it when I got the truck but couldn't see any way to do it.

Certainly not and important issue, but I'm just curious if they can do auto updates like can be done on a smart phone or computer.

 

I think there is a setting on there that changes the function; North up or direction of travel.

 

If I'm understanding this correctly, all you need to do is push this button here.

My headunit will randomly restart it's self, when it does this all my settings are also conviently wiped out, such as the orientation of navigation, turn based navigation volume, etc.

Yep, that was it. Hitting the little N changes the view three different ways. Hey, I'm an old fart, this tech stuff confuses me at times! Anyway, thanks!
