Yeah I regret kinda not checking out the tundra more but I feel like the Tacoma I'm gonna modify a bit and put miles on it and see in a year or two where my finances are and if I can upgrade, but I've learned not to just sit around waiting to upgrade just enjoy what your driving now and enjoy the next thing that comes along

My coworker bought a new tundra the same time I bought my tacoma. His is very spacious, plenty of power and his city MPG is about the same as ours. However, full size trucks are way too big for the trails in my area. Even the 2nd gen tacoma is almost too big...I banged up my sliders good last time I went out. Full size was out of question for me. The interior of the tundra is pretty dated too. After discovering how useful the ECT button is, no complaining here.

Yeah the size is a problem especially when your driving around in the city parts too. The length of my DCLB is hard to navigate sometimes but it's one of those things that when people are in the car with you and see you driving in tight spaces they freak out thinking your gonna crash but your just handling it like a pro. And for the power of the tundra people say that at first it seems unneccessary but it's always fun to have it.

I went from a v8 car making 400+hp to a truck that weighs 1000 pounds more with 130 less hp lol. I don't mind it too much. It's a truck and I drive it like one, not a race car. That being said I drove a new T4R as a loaner for a weekend and was not impressed with the older 4.0 motor. Had more lower end torque but definitely missing that top on for on ramps and passing on the highway.

Pretty sure I've seen @smitty99 talk about how good the power in his 4Runner is. I gotta admit the styling is nice on em and I was definitely considering one of em. Everytime I tell someone I drive a Tacoma they always ask if I have the 4.0 and when I tell it's the 3.5 they get disappointed

We love our 2016 4Runner. The throttle is much more responsive. Much better feeling on the low end (initial throttle) whereas the 2016 Tacoma has delayed shifting and you have to rev it up like a leaf blower to get into the powerband. Night and day difference. Obviously the trade off is with the Tacoma you have more top end power but in a truck... that isn't where I really want it. In a sports car that's where I want the power...top end.

Does it ride better stock than the Taco in the rear cause it obviously doesn't have the leaf springs in back

The only critique I might have is the front end is a bit nose-divey. Test drive one and you'll see what I mean when you hit the brakes. Otherwise yes overall a better ride.

Yeah when I see them on the road it's definitely not Level so I could see how that's a problem, my truck really only does that if I'm braking hard

Wonder if the 2018 Camry with it's 8 speed transmission and 2.5 4 cylinder will shift like your 2016 Tacoma? I'm thinking about test driving one when they hit the dealerships in August.

Could easily be fixed with coilover up front

    I don't think it's a level issue it's a spongy suspension up front

I thought it had worse on-road manners than the TRD OR. Not just dive and squat but much more body roll due to it having a higher center of gravity. I was quite surprised; thought it would be a better ride on the road.

Was a lot squisher than my TRD OR. It'll be softer than a TRD Sport but it has a lot more dive/squat and body roll than both the TRD OR or Sport. The nature of it having more weight up top.

I hate to admit it. But honestly the new Ridgelines are kind of sweet. Ugly as shit but the features are badass. Very modular design. But at the end of the day...it's still a Ridgeline

only decent feature is the speakers in the bed and that's useful for a tailgate but people have too much pride to be seen near a ridgeline so...
